I was invited to Microsoft's new Flagship store in London to meet with John Carter, Senior store manager.

We discussed the agenda of the store and projects they’ve already set up. I was surprised to find out how committed they are to benefiting underprivileged youth by creating opportunities to make them employable. John’s a wonderful man, a big smile on his face, hugging his staff and the enthusiasm he talks with proves his commitment to making a significant impact to the community.

We talked about how my involvement could help to reach out and engage the mental health and homeless community and what collaboration between us could achieve. I can’t say much more than this for now but we both had a lot of interesting ideas that we’ll iron out over the next few months.

The store itself is incredible and well worth a visit. There are no sales targets so the staff spend their time making sure you’re having fun and answering any questions you may have. I took my cousin with me who has had a difficult time battling learning difficulties and finding his place as he approaches adulthood, he was treated like a VIP for the whole day and got to engage and try everything that’s available in store which has had a meaningful impact on him and he left inspired. So thank you to everyone working that day, you’re all incredible.
